The New iPad 2

Okay, the rumors have begun. Five features are more or less confirmed:
1. Video phone feature, presumably FaceTime.
2. Thinner glass on the display panels, which could mean it’s slightly lighter.
3. Retina display is coming.
4. A USB connection so you don’t have to use Apple’s proprietary standard.
5. 3-axis gyroscope for improved gaming. This feature is in the iPhone already.
In our opinion, the USB will be the killer. As they say, the possibilities are endless.

Engadget is reporting that TJ Maxx is selling iPads for USD 399.
our tipster Aaron sent us these pics he took of a 16GB WiFi iPad that he found at a TJ Maxx in Vernon, NY — and not just because they’re going for a relatively reasonable $399. We have definitely seen a lot of tablet news of late – but one thing thats going a little unnoticed is this: how come, there is not a single tablet at less than 500? (obviously 499 doesnt count) – HP Slate is actually 799.
ZDNEt asks the same question, in a different way:
The alleged iPad killing tablets are coming, but with price tags that aren’t going to even come close to denting Apple’s lead. When Apple CEO Steve Jobs launched the iPad it wasn’t clear how aggressively these newfangled …
